Art-Walk
2008
July- August 2008. (Painters,
sculptors, carvers, photographers, quilters, sewing,
textile artists stained glass, bead work)
Local businesses will be
sponsoring artists to display their work at their business between July and
August 2008; one artist per business. The Centennial committee is creating
an Art-Walk
passport that may be purchased by residents and visitors. The cost of the
passport which will be available at the Chase Chamber office will be $5.00.
This passport will have a bio
and a photo of the artist together with a description of their work. Beside
this will be the name and location of the business sponsoring the artist’s
work where the art will be available for viewing.
At
the business, the participant may view the art work and obtain a stamp in
their passport. Once the passport is full of stamps from all locations, the
participants complete the contact info and drop their entry into a draw for
local art work.

please call Barbara Maher at 679-3442.
The purpose of the Art Walk is to showcase the work of local artists and our
community. The advantage to the artist is the opportunity to share their
creativity and have them recorded in history. The Passports will be a
keepsake for participants; one copy will be lodged at our local museum and
another copy may be buried in our time capsule to be rediscovered at a
future date. We also envision a Commemorative Centennial Album being created
which will include photos of the artists and their work. This permanent
record of your talent and your great contribution to Chase will remain in
the Chase Museum where it will be available for viewing to visitors for
years to come.
